Article 56. The Liability of a Legal Person

1. A legal person is liable for its obligations with all the property belonging thereto.
The details of liability of a state-property enterprise and institution for its obligations are defined by the rules of Paragraph 3 of Item 6 of Article 113, Item 3 of Article 123.21, Items 3 - 6 of Article 123.22 and Item 2 of Article 123.23 of the present Code. The details of liability of a religious organisation are defined by the rules of Item 2 of Article 123.28 of the present Code.
2. The founder (participant) of a legal person or the owner of its property is not liable for the obligations of the legal person, and the legal person is not liable for the obligations of the founder (participant) or the owner, except for the cases envisaged by the present Code or another law.
